Could someone please help me with this? When I tried to install the recommended update in Window XP - "Microsift .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1" I got this message:

"Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resukted in an error code of ox 2(2). Please check computer settings."

    Then below it "cordbg.ex !a 0xe38".

I don't know what any of this means or how to fix it. Gateway advised to me to contact Microsoft who advised to contact Gateway or pay them $35!!!! Could someone help me!!!!! Thanks

wow that sux being bumped around lets try something simple and see if it works first do disc cleanup, then defrag then go to my computer right click on your boot drive usually c:drive go to properties then on the tabs tools click on error checking check the first option now reboot but before you do put your windows xp disc into the disc drive usually but not always if a dll is missing in this process it will fix it and sometimes take it from the disc to replace and fix it if that doesn' t work we need a pro because I would be clueless as for the cause it could be due to something else you either installed or uninstalled unless your running a bootleg thats a different matter altogether.
