ok here is the problem, i just built a nice pc, and i have two hard drives in it, ones a 320 gig for storage and one is 160 gig for the operating system, i had windows vista ultimate on their, i hate it so i wanna go back to xp, i formatted the hard drive thinking that it would erase vista, it didn't when go to install xp it tells me that it vista can't find a file named 0479f or something like that, i formatted again and it still is looking for that file, should i just try to install xp on the 320 gig or is their to wipe vista clean off
ok i have gotten both of my drives formatted, and now vista gives me an BOOTMGR error, i am going to just install vista again, now is my questions, how do i uninstall vista and resinstall xp, can someone please lead me in the right direction.
hi i would use active kill disk and format whole drive blank then install your xp. ps and it is a free tool from here http://killdisk.com/downloadfree.htm
