Uninstall Vista and put in XP

    I have a gateway dx 4400 duo core .Can anybody tell me how to uninstall vista.I hate vista.None of my programs work with vista.Help please anybody.

    In the BIOS, set the computer to boot up from the CD/DVD drive, put in the XP CD, save the BIOS settings, and let the XP disc boot up to the Install screen.

    At that screen, delete the partition that Vista is on, recreate and have XP format the partition you just deleted, and let XP install on that partition.

    You will need XP drivers for a number of things built into the motherboard, so make sure that you have those drivers on hand, before installing XP.
