    I have found two strange files on my machine and hope that some one can tell me what they are. When I click on Properties for my C drive, then Disk Clean Up, then View Files, I find 10 files listed under Downloaded Program Files. They all make sense to me except 2 of them. Here are the names and descriptions:

    {4ED9DDF0-7479-4BBE-9335-5A1EDB1D8A-21}
    Status - Unknown
    Size - 32 KB
    Creation Date - None
    Last Accessed - None
    Version - 4.0.0.83

    {BCC0FF27-31D9-4614-A68E-C18E1ADA4389}
    Same Info
    Version - 1.0.0.20

    All of the other files show status as Installed, have Creation Dates, and show Last Accessed dates. These 2 do not. I am not having any problems with my system. Maybe I should just leave these things alone. But, it just bugs me to know WHAT they are? Advice is appreciated. Thanks!

    No way to know, but unknown files can safely be removed.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I tried to make a copy of the file(s) before deleting them just in case it causes a problem. They will NOT copy!

    Not sure (yet) how bold I am feeling ...

    Right click the folder, go to Copy. Paste anywhere you like...such as your desktop.

    Well, I right clicked on the entire folder, copied, and pasted to my desktop. This made a copy on my desktop.

    Had tried to copy and paste the files only before and they would NOT copy as I had said.

    Then, I went to the original folder to Delete the 2 unknown files. They went away AND were deleted from my desktop copy file at the same time.

    Sure hope I don't really need them!
