I'm trying to set XBMC as my default dash. Currently running softmod UnleashX with ndures dual boot.

Now on the XBMC site it says to download their default dash.XBE, rename it and and use it to replace the current evoxdash.XBE and also to replace the current evoxdash.cfg. Simple enough.

But my problem is that on the E: drive, i only have an evoxdash.XBE and a config.xml. So do I replace the config.xml with an evoxdash.cfg, or do I have to create a new config.xml......which I have no idea how to do.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I'd just create a new file!

Make sure you have you eeprom backed up before you start screwing around with stuff!

That was my initial thought but was just looking for some confirmation.

The eeprom was already backed up, I just didn't fancy rebuilding and reinstalling 250GB of stuff :D . But I went ahead and took your advice anyway and it worked.

    Thanks once again Chunkhead.

I currently have EvoX dash. How would I go about installing XBMC? Would I just drag and drop the files into a directory or would I have to re-softmod the system? I just want to be able to play Divx movies on my Xbox. Can that be done with my EvoX dash?

    Thanks

Make an Apps folder in the E drive. Ftp the XBMC folder over to the E Apps folder in E and reboot. Before ftping the folder over, make sure it is not a folder in a folder as some downloads are 2 tiers of folders before the files are accessable.. Your folder should be XBMC folder and when you click on that, the next window will show the files in the folder, not another yellow XBMC folder that you have to open again to get to the files.. In that case, ftp the second yellow XBMC folder over to E/ Apps
