u didnt say u tried other codes before....u only have five tries and after that your phone becomes hard locked that it means that your phone is now hard locked and only an unlocking cable can help u since u live in america unlocking cables are very very cheap and cost effictive...i recommend purchasing one online and unlocking ur phone afterwards come here to the buy and sell section and sell the cable... good news is u will still operate in cingular bad news is cant operate on other network unless u unlock via cable sorry if i screwed up your phone
