Eep, it said 'can't undo restriction'. Does this mean the phone's hardlocked? I checked the numbers over and over before I pressed that last # Perhaps in my haste to unlock the phone, I've forgotten that I've attempted and failed in the past, though I'd think I'd leave 1 shot left... So chances are, I'm stuck with it on Optus?
“Can Not Undo Restriction” or “Not allowed” means. After you have made 5 attempts or even 3 attempts on newer phones and failed, the phone displays that message, meaning that the phone is "hard locked." At this point, you will still be able to use phone with the original provider, but you will not be able to unlock it by codes. You will need to take or send it to a professional for direct unlocking service. Look in on your Mobile local shop and ask if they do a direct unlocking service.
Yeah, that's what I thought. Oh well, I guess I can find someone who needs an Optus phone and give it to them. I wasn't using the thing anyways. Thanks for your help!
