    Yes, thanks, I tried a couple e.g. #pw+837961151476452+1#

I think the problem is they do not list my exact model.

Also, I don't know how many codes have now been tried (it's my step daughter's phone, now out of contract). Is it likely to keep prompting for the unlock code even once it has permanently locked?

Also, does the "type" make a big difference? The label says RM-325 but the online unlockers seem to think it should be DCT2 or similar?

Many thanks for your help hooter007

yes it does have to be the exact model, phone type, provider, ect.ect..
also most fones will only allow you to try 3 different codes

but if you have a China Town in the city centre where you live
most of the repair/2nd hand fone shops will unlock it for you for @£10

if your fone was on a bill payment it should have been sim free already!!
did you try and ask them (provider) for the "NAC" unlock code

The provider (3 mobile) charge £15 for a code, with no guarantee it will work! In any case, it seems very likely that we have "used up" our 3 attempts to enter a code, so we're going to take it to a shop with a cable who have also quoted £15.

    Many thanks for your help.
