Help! i was softmodding a xbox today and i unlocked the hard drive (complete noob) no it gives me an error 5 when i boot it up never wrote any numbers down and only back up on e:\ on xbox... Please help jimmey22
you have to hotswap it or if you have a backup of your eeprom.bin you can burn that to a disc using XBHDM and then use the locking tools to lock the hard drive back
do i need xboxhdm 1.9 to hot swap it? i have no files off the xbox to put into the folders on xboxhdm 1.9
If you can see the white "Microsoft" logo under the big X prior to the error 5, then you can hotswap! You only need a program which is stated in the tutorial http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/332766
right got xbox connected to pc showing hard drive in system properties but xexplorer360 could not find a fatx drive to open but the HD is there
Just keep trying it! Make sure the Xbox IDE cable is plugged back into the hard drive BEFORE you turn it off or you will have a paperweight!
