I was given a Samsung C417 and the only issue is that I have moved to T-mobile, I would like to know if I could get a IMEI unlock code for the phone.

    Model: SGM-C417
    Location: USA
    Locked to: Cingular
    IMEI:353833/01/653840/4

    Thanks much!

there is no code for C417, you need to get an serial or FTDI data-cable (not the standard usb one)

then you can unlock it in a few seconds via www.UnlockSamsungOnline.nl

You can unlock this phone no problem.

    Samsung C417 unlock
First with different carrier SIM in phone at WRONG CARD screen ENTER on the keypad
    *2767*3855# (wait 10-15 seconds) phone will reboot(restart)
    When phone completes reboot ENTER
    *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
    NEXT ENTER
    #7465625*638*00000000#
AND THEN *#7465625# to check the locks....all locks are inactive...these are all the locks...
    network lock - inactive
    subset lock - inactive
    sp lock - inactive
    cp lock - inactive
    sim lock - inactive
    activa lock - inactive
    phone lock - inactive
    auto network - inactive
    auto subset lock - inactive
    auto sp lock - inactive
    auto cp lock - inactive

    Cheers &
    good luck:)

Thanks keeespaul, it seems to have worked. Just one question, the phone does not show 'inactive' but rather 'deactivate', I assume that they mean the same?
