Hey Folks - am I pleased I found you!! I'm a 42 y/o and my xbox has thrown a wobbly - I'd like to blame my 8 y/o lad cos he played it last but I'm sure it wasn't him!! I turned it on yesterday and it comes up with the service message and shows error 5. I've dug around, and the code seems rel;ated to not being able to lock the HD but most threads seem to relate to modded boxes which mine is not. I've got the lid off and the HD does spin up although that doesnt mean it's OK of course. I'm a PC engineer so am happy to dive in with H/W or S/W mods but I know so little about the bloody thing that I don't know where to start. After all I just played games on it! I miss it already so any help would be really appreciated. Cheers Karl
