I have been searching through different parts of afterdawn.com and cannot find a clear answer to my question.

What does "unspecified target error" mean?

I have the new version of Nero and have been using it in conjunction with DVD Decrypter AND DVDShrink. It took hours and many errors to even get THAT to work in the first place, and things are working so far in that respect. I have the contributors on this website to thank for that.

My current problem is simply trying to burn audio files to CD-R's. I have burned a good bit of audio cd's in the past with Nero and my current DVD/CD burner, but I now recieve the above error message. If I knew for sure that it's just the quality of the CD-R's that are causing the situation then it's not a big deal to have to buy new one. I have "Fujifilm" and "Imation" CD-R's and plenty of them have worked for me before.

This is as far as I've come and I look forward to anyone's help.

FujiFilm= Taioyo Yuden media= the best. Are you running the latest Nero and firmware for your dvd burner?
