Hi I recently heard of Up converting dvd players from an eectronics magazine. Do you know what these things do? I dont have HDTV televisions. Thanks for your help, I sure hope my dvd players are still good now
these "upconverting" dvd players will serve you absolutely NO GOOD if you do not have an HDTV to use them on...what these dvd players do, they upconvert the dvd picture to that of HDTV quality...1080i for example. dvd quality is pretty good in my opinion already, but if you have an HDTV and are capable of viewing in HD, the increase in detail and quality is definitely NOTICEABLE. the images are VERY sharp and you can see even the minute details that were not noticeable when watching on a regular tv. my opinion, if you don't have an HDTV/ HDTV capable television, these upconverting dvd players will offer you nothing more for the money spent~
