update manager

    tried to update to karmic several times but it was impossible to get all the packages. (Using the update manager)

    Try running this command in the terminal.

    This will download and install all the available updates.

    It's the one everybody is swearing about being broken..

    clean install.. or get a LOT of conflicts.. n00buntu have never got the dist-upgrade right.. it always breaks.

    oh, I thought he was having problems doing updates. I did not realize he was trying to upgrade distributions. A clean install would be best, things always break when you do the live upgrade.

    the problem seemed to be the Huawei-way, no problems on the fibre-higway

    A-ha, i spy a mobile broadband wifi dongle, it's good to see them supported in linux

    That's the open source world.. people get these things and make them work.. I found puppy worked OK with a 3 mobile thing last year.. after booting windoze and finding out it's login details.
