I have the latest Nero 6 Ultra software and just updated the component Nero Vision Express to version 2.1.2.18. After doing so, I noticed that the opening screen no longer has an option to create a dvd, which was on the earlier version, which I still have on another computer. Is this simply a bad install, or was the create a dvd option omitted on the update.
Is this an OEM version of Nero ? Nero Vision Express 2 -2.1.2.18- opens up -- and on the very first page -- you will have on the right a Menu -- First Item is : Make a DVD Second Item : Make a CD etc... Nero web site [bold]cautions users to download all segments of the upgrade[/bold] -- !
Then you have a serial number and you have access to the source at:- http://www.nero.com/us/index.html where you can download all the UPGRADE not just one segment ! _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Do It Right , and you will be a Happy Camper ![/small]
Yes, you need to make sure you have the correct Retail Serial key installed, and that you have a DVD Recorder connected to your system and being detected by your system. If no DVD Recorder is detected, you will only see options for CD creation in NVE. P.S. Unless you go into Nero StartSmart and under Configuration 'Enable all Recorder Formats', then you will see this option even without a DVD Recorder connected. Regards, Craig Ahead Software USA
Problem solved. I thank everyone for their responses and saving me from doing a needless uninstall and reinstall of the software.
