Updating divx

    I don't use divx much, but wanted to update the codec on my PC
    which is version 5.11.
    I see that as well as the latest, afterdawn offers 3 or 4 older versions
    to choose from. Just get the latest? Any issues?
    I'm running xp pro on an AMD 3200+ cpu based system (about 1 year old).

    I think personally you may as well have the latest version. I am using divx 6.5.1 and I am not having any issues. I have a 2 yr old Pentium 4 3.0 GHz with 1 Gb of RAM. The later codec versions can take advantage of hyperthreading if your CPU has it.
