Hi. I just bought a Pioneer 109 OEM, and it says on the Pioneer web page that the firmware is not for oem drives to check the pc makers for instructions? I've built my own pc, what should I do to install the firmware? Thank you.
i believe the current firmware for that drive is the 1.57, i have the same drive as you, i bought it OEM too~ the firmware DEFINITELY WORKS, no need to consult any computer manufacturer... found here: http://wwwbsc.pioneer.co.jp/product-e/ibs/device_e/dev00001r_e.html scroll down to the pioneer 109 series...and dl and flash the 2nd one, that is the drive you have...109(bk) good luck~
anytime i can be of service~ i've done a LOT of tweaking to my pioneer dvr-109, flashing/cross-flashing/etc.etc...it's fun for me, but, you should be just fine w/ the 1.57 for awhile~
