Updating Firmware

Can anyone help. After following instructions from a previous thread, I was advised to update the firmware for my DVD burner.
I have downloaded the file, but cannot run it (it is a .bin file)
What is the correct procedure to run this file?

this isnt my final, so dont hold me to this but u can try a couple of things... i believe you should able to open the bin file using Isobuster, copy the contents of the file into a folder on your harddrive and run the firmware update. On the other hand, you might be able to come up with a ".cue" file to associate with your ".bin" file and burn onto a cd-r using nero; not sure what you burn with though... good luck
