updating iPhone to 2.0 using winpwn

    I just wanna make sure that people have done this already without problems and that if i cant get it to work and mess something up that i will be able to still have it unlocked.

    yea, i did it and it works great, currently in use with T-Mobile.

    Well i tried mine and the restore thing had an error, do you think you could help me out with this at all?

    I followed that the same and i still got the same 1609 error. Now i am restoring the phone back to 2.0 and trying it again. Thanks for your help.

    no problem. make sure you do every step exactly as posted. hopefully it will work this time.

    Well i think my first prob was that i wasnt in DFU mode and i was in recovery, but now i cant get it to go back into DFU mode to try it again, i tried it the old way like i did the first time and it didnt work again. But thanks for all of your help.

    you can use ziphone, which has a button that will automatically put the iPhone into DFU Mode.

    well see the problem is is that i tried all of it, got it to the recovery part and put it back to the factory settings without the firmware, and im not an AT&T customer so i can do anything to get it back to a firmware, like now i have it where i need to put in a sim card to get the 2.0 on the phone. So i dont really know what to do to fix this prob.
