I have Nero 7 Essentials. For some time I have been creating A DVD slideshow using NeroVision Essentials, however when I tried to open my project this morning I was told that the project had been created in a newer version of NeroVision Essentials and that I needed to update. I then checked for available updates via New Product Setup where I found that there were updates available for all my Nero 7 Essentials components. My problem is that in the past when I have clicked the Update Now button in the past the updating process included uninstalling the existing version (prior to installing the new one). After that has been done nothing further happens, meaning I no longer have Nero 7 Essentials at all, which means that I have to re-install it from the disk. The end result is that I end up with the original, out of date version. Am I doing something wrong?
I have solved my own problem. After the original version of Nero 7 Essentials was uninstalled the process stopped. It occurred to me that I should check My Completed Downloads where I found the file Nero-7.11.10.0_all_update_1.exe When I clicked it the installation of the updated version resumed. Success (after several years!) It's a shame I wasn't told to do this during the installation process.
