Hi, I'm upgrading my computer from this:

    AMD Athlon™ 64 4200 X2 Dual-Core Processor 2.20 GHZ
    1GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE
    Dell N305N-03----it says 305w MAX

    MOBO: Model: OUW457

    Manufactuer: Dell
Chipset Model: AMD Athlon 64/ Opeteron HyperTransport Technology Configuration
    Chipset: Nvidia, GeForce 6150
    SouthBridge: Nvidia, nForce 410/430 MCP

    TO THIS:

MSI N9800GT 512OC GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

    CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX 450W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

    G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ - Retail
    Item #: N82E16820231122

    The question I have is,

Should I update my Motherboard to a better one. I can't find the specs for it, but it's a good one. Is it worth the amount to spend it. I am stingy, but if you think it's absoloutly nesceary to upgrade the mobo so that the other parts can work, i can probably buy it.

Any other reccomendations, comments, or questions are greatly appreciated,

    Thank you.

Probably not worth upgrading your motherboard at this point. It looks like AMD will be introducing phenom II's sometime in the spring so there isn't any point of moving up a chipset without upgrading your CPU when the new line will be out in a few months.

I forgot to mention that I will also be upgrading to an AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+.
