I currently have a softmodded xbox. If I wanted to install a modchip would I have to change anything on my harddrive or would I be able to install the chip with the softmod still there.

Also besides being able to disable for Xbox Live is there any advantage to having a chip. What features to custom bios' have?

you might want to remove yor soft mod first cause it might not have good results. but putting the chip in should not mess yor xbox since the sm bios is on the hd and the homebrew ones are on the chip

Ya, the only reason I don't want to remove the softmod. Is because I am afraid I will lose all of the games on the harddrive.

BTW does anyone know if the Alladin chips are any good? I was thinking about buying one of those and installing it. Because it is only about $10 I think.
