I hope I am posting this in the right place.

I want to upgrade my RAM and eventually my processor if its worth it. I am not sure though how much RAM i can upgrade to. I currently have 1024 MB PC 3200 DDR.

All I know is that I have an Intel 4 Processor 550J 3.40 GHz, 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache and the graphics are Nvidia GeForce 6600 3D with 256 MB DDR.

Download the program called CPU-Z and click on the mainboard tab at the top and tell us your Brand# and Model#.

American Megatrends Inc is the maker of the bios not the computer or motherboard. look at your motherboard manual or user guide under specifications.

Open up your tower and have a look at your motherboard to see what mobo you have. Also look at you memory bank to see how many slots you have. If it is a older board your likely to have three slots if it is a newer board it will have 4 slots. As it is not a dead old board hence p4 cpu i would think you will be able to upgrade between to either 2 or 4gb mb. If you have 4 slots you may be able to install more. Either way 2gb is really sufficiant. The most important thing though is as already stated you really need to know what motherboard you have.
