I used this tester here: http://www.slingmedia.com/get/speedTest.html

and i got 2570kbps download and 432kbps upload

I was wondering why there is so much difference and if there was a way to increase my upload and decrease my download

Most ISP's don't give you as much upload speed as download speed. You need to contact your ISP and ask them about increasing speeds.

    Two reasons:

1.) It is easier for them to send stuff to you then it is you to send stuff to them.

2.) Most people don't need therefore use that much upload speed, most isp's being cheap don't give people as much upload speed as a result because they figure hey, most people wouldn't miss it anyway.

And isp's generally don't give options for different upload speeds, you just get what you get with the download speed package you got. So its unlikely you could increase your upload without upgrading your download speed.
