Uploading contacts to sim card

    My sim card holds old numbers and contact info however I had to go through all my numbers and change them on my iphone. So basically my iphone has all the updated contact information, how do I transfer that over to my sim card so if I have switch phones or have backup my iphone back to its default settings I can get all the new contact info from the sim card and not lose everything.
