Hi: I have a AVI file that I tried playing in Nero it does not open, It even wont let it copy to make it into a VCD, Nero VCD states cannot load CD1-avi file. I tried TMPGenc it claims that the file is missing Video part could only load audio part. But when I open Real Player, the AVI plays correctly with both Video and Audio. Now is there a way to make this file into a VCD. Note the message that I get are 1. Nero : Load video file file, could not load AVI file (VCD making) 2. TMPGEnc: Could only load Audio aprt. How can I fix this if it is broken. I would greatly appreciate your expert advice. Thanks, Alan
Are you sure you have the proper codec installed on your PC? (you need DivX to play DivX encoded AVIs, Xvid to play Xvid encoded AVIs...). But if you can watch it with Windows Media Player, maybe you have the proper codec unless it uses its own codecs. Avoid Nero (lousy program that lot of people insist to use to make VCDs) but it's strange that TMPGeenc doesn't work.
