heading to california in june looking at the web prices for digital camcorders i could save anything up to £200.00 question is will the camcorder work here in UK/Ireland if i buy it in the US----remember reading something about pal v's nascal??? looking at the sony DCR-DVD 403 if anybody has one & they can help thanks in advance ian
Generaly a camcorder bought in the States will be of NTSC system which is not going to be compatible to your TV system in the UK. What you can do is to specify your purchase in the States for a camera that is for your country's TV system. In your case, you would be asking for a camera for the PAL system. Make sure you do your comparisons of the prices in the States for this system as it will be more expensive that the NTSC version.
