I have a simple usb a to usb a lead and wanted to transfer files from my desktop to laptop. How do I do this? I appreciate it won't be super fast but that is not a problem.

    Cheers!

    Mamy thanks,

I read somewhere that I could just use a standard a to a lead although it would be slower than a data lonk cable. Is this untrue?

Yeah i think it is untrue, if you look at the picture of the link cable you will see the box in the middle of the cable, this will sort out the networking so you can transfere files etc..

If it was true then why would the "USB Link Cables" be available : )

That's fair enough, I just thought it was still possible just slower.
