    Hi can anyone help me.
Im using a 16 speed usb burner with nero. It works fine up until about 60 percent of the disc but then slows down really slow. Taking in total nearly an hour some times to burn a disc.

Is there a way of checking if my usb drive is using DMA or POI mode, i tried control panel but can't find anything. Or am I completely off the ball here

    Thanks in advance

DMA isn't relevant for USB devices, however still is relevant for non-USB, so check via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

you're probably using crap media, or may need to tweak a few settings. Post [bold]last section[/bold] of your Nero log which is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log. [bold]DO NOT[/bold] post your serial number which begins with '1A21' or similar.

DMA settings do not apply for USB drives. Check and make sure your burner firmware is up to date.
