I'm looking to add DVR function on my notebook, much like i have on my desktop pc(with Windows Media Center addition). I purchased a ATI TV wonder USB 2.0 external capture card and found that the software it comes with flat out sucks(in my opinion). I also read somewhere that it is best to have a device that encodes the mpeg via hardware and not software. Is there a USB device like this out there? If not, will i be able to use my ATI with software such as Beyond TV or Sage TV? Any help would be great

Oh, forgot to add. This device would allow you to plug up your xbox, Playstation, Gamecube, etc. and play them on your laptop screen. The video quality actually isn't too bad either.
