Use (old) laptop monitor as second monitor

    Recently my old laptop broke down and I had to buy a new one, but the monitor of the old laptop is still working. So I was wondering whether it is possible to connect the monitor of my old laptop to my new one (to use it as a second monitor).

    My old laptop is a dell vostro 1000. The cable wich was used to connect it to my old laptop is marked
