I have started to experiment with WORD. I have discovered how to do the simple things like print directly from the screen, changeing colors, sending a document either a "TEMPORARY" one I will send to another screen like wordpad.notepad, or YAHOO and print from there, go back to WORD and print from there, save documents. ect. What I have NOT figured out is how to delete a SAVED document, and how to call up SAVED documents that are no longer in the list under the FILE TAB. I recently SAVED and printed a number of versions of my resume, and I can no longer find them in the list. Only the more recent documents that were sent to me from a family member as a WORD doc in an attachment in my email, is in the list. How do I find these resumes that I wrote and saved(at least I think I saved them) and the revisions that my family member sent me as an attatchment? Is it possible that these docs were saved in WORDPAD as opposed to WORD by mistake? I started to use WORDPAD first because it is not so sophisticated as WORD. When my family member and I were on the phone
and she was trying to teach me sight unseen it became apparent that she and I were useing two different word programs. I did have WORD 97 at one time and had removed it because it was conflicting with WORDPAD and createing problems. Since then I found said program had survived the uninstall, and is now working well without conflict. I do not know why, but I will accept it. Is it possible to send documents from one processing program to another, WORD>WORDPAD or WORDPAD>WORD? As a newbie I need to understand the rules of XP PRO so I can use it with less problems and better undestanding. I will do some experimenting to figure it out. Thank you for any help you can provide in plain language for dummies like me! please move this post to the appropriate forum as needed.

ok i can help you but i really don't have the time to read all that tho
i think i no what you want to do
you want to open word files that ant in the recent list
    in word
go-file-open-that should take you in to a little window that has your (My Documents) where word should be saving your files if they are there click 1 and down the bottom off that window click open-that should open the files in word
    now deleting files
    this isn't in word
go-start-My Documents-the files should be there with the word logo on it
click it once and press delete on your keyboard-or right click and go down to delete

    i hope that helps you
like i said i dont have time 2 read all that next time just get 2 the point we all should know what you are talking about
