MrRod, Welcome to our Club -

In the interest of saving you some time the next time you have a question -

You never mentioned that you wanted to convert AVI files to DVD. You were given what you requested.
    (A lesson learned perhaps ?)

As is mentioned in the READ THIS: Forum Rules at the beginning of the forum,
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487

    To save everyone time -
Refering again to the READ THIS Forum rules at the beginning of the forum,

    Rule # 1.
By typing "AVI to DVD" in the little "search" box at the top of the screen you will find things like this:

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/94029

That should help you with your project - :)

    Cheers,

    Pete

Hey guys, I got hold of that TMPGEnc plus, got it converting but just wondering what the standard time is for the conversion, at the moment it's going to take just over 8 hours to convert my avi file which is 717Mb, is 8 hours ok or slow?

    Hi,

Depending on your system specs large AVIs such as yours can indeed take several hours :)
