I tried to install Lame onto EAC, but was unable to do it. Anyone knows how can I set up LAME so that EAC recognizes it?
Also, I am using NEC 5540A. When I did the automatic configuration of my drive by EAC, it did not check the C2 error box, so I went ahead and ripped without it. It took 6 hours to rip a single DVD. Then I went back to the setting and tried to run the specific C2 test on a scratched CD. The error was recognized meaning that the drive can detect the error on its own. So I checked the box manually and now it takes a few minutes to rip. I was correct to check the box right?

    for your first question,

click EAC (top left hand corner)

    click 'compression options'

then click the external compressions tab

then, in the 'program, including path used for compression' box, browse and locate your lame .exe

note it has to be in the same folder as you EAC.
