using mutiple programs

Hi,
I started using dvd shrink with nero 7 trial version.
I came across problems and started using DVDfab platinum- which ripped and burned.
Now having probs with that and i started using dvdfab hd decrypter which i could also rip/burn.
My trial version of nero 7 ran out and i now seem to have problems no matter what i use.
Do i need nero installed to use any of the dvd fabs/ shrink?
If so, i tried to buy it from the website but it said it is not available in australia...how can i get this?
