I really need to wipe my hard drive. So I have compiled everything i want to keep(about 10 gigs) in a folder on my desktop. I had nero backup that folder to DVD(three really) with the file backup data tool. But I noticed that it doesn't save the raw files it saves some weird Nero file.
So when i wipe my hard drive and reinstall an OS will i be able to open and put what I backed up on the computer even if it isn't the same user setting and i don't have Nero.

You will need Nero to open it the best way to have done it and not have to back up the folder to disk and not use Nero at all would have been to create a Partition in the free space on your hardrive and put your saved data on that Partition need basic PC skills though to do it its not hard but if you balls it up there goes all your stuff if you Google making a Partition plenty of guides about and free software to use
