Unfortunely Studio 8 has alot of bugs.

Alot of people run into problems trying to author their home movies to disc with it.

But there are some things you can try:

    1. make sure your version of Studio 8 is the latest, for an update go here:

    http://www.pinnaclesys.com/docsuppo...id=7&product_id=577&product_name=&page_id=450

    2. Check if your burner is compatible, go here:

    http://www.pinnaclesys.com/docsuppo...id=7&product_id=577&product_name=&page_id=653

    3. Make sure your burners firmware is up to date.

    4. try looking in the pinnacle studio 8 user forums for an answer:

    http://webboard.pinnaclesys.com/rea...nID=143&lng=1&ProductID=454&SubDocTypesID=181

Alternatively you can author and burn your video files with an external program. Just let me know what sorta of files you have that Studio 8 output to the hard drive.

i.e. are they mpeg files, .vob files, in an video_ts folder or an iso or cue file?

    Hope that helps.
