Ok, I use TMPGEnc to convert my .avi's to .mpeg's, and in the beginning it was working alright. But now when I go to convert an TV episode off of a DVD that I own, I notice it saves it in a lower quality format. Um, for example, the first 3 or so episodes that I converted were about a GB each in size and the video quality was very good, none of those pixelated shots you sometimes see in poorer quality videos. Now for some reason when it's done converting an episode it's half the size they used to be, and I get that pixelated look now. In the settings I have it set on the SLOWEST possible option so that I'm supposed to be getting the highest quality, and each episode has been averaging about 3 hours to complete, so what's the deal? Why is it a poorer quality if the settings are the same? Is it possibly the bitrate, or the fact that i have to de-interlace them, which I can't tell if that's really working either... Any help here would be greatly appreciated! thanx! -Holly
