    mcaty Well first Clone DVD II will not alone do the newer movies for the copy protections. You will have to use AnyDVD first DVDFab
    or one of the newer programs. If you are using DVD Decrypter even
    it will not do all the new movies as it hasn't been updated in some time. Try AnyDVD then use Clone DVD II and you should be fine on it.
    If. There are some new copy protections like the new FluxDVD along
    with a cpl more. Good luck and if you still can't get it just get back wih someone on AD.

    Could also be overheating, are you using a laptop? Try the ripper in AnyDVD and check remove blank or unreferenced cells and the use Clone.

    @Dogman5

    The FluxDVD protection is just on downloaded movies from CinemaNow, not on regular DVD movies.

    I am using anyDVD with CloneDVD. I tried using the anyDVD Ripper and then CloneDVD, same thing, computer shuts off. I am using a laptop, yes, but I don't think that it is an overheat problem. I can do 3 other backups in a row, no problem. I have never had this problem except with V For Vendetta.

    I used Dvd decrypter to back up my copy of V and it worked fine. Do you have the limited Edition of V? That might have something special on it, I bought the regular version.

    I tried DvdDecrypter, it got stuck and wouldn't precess some files. I seem to be having this problem ( with clonedvd and any dvd ) with pretty much all new movies. Not with older titles ???????

    There is no need to use the "ripper" with CloneDVD2.
    On the contrary. Use CloneDVD2 directly from the source disc. If you want to make a 1:1 rip without compression, use CloneDVD and set it to Dual Layer size output.

    No.

    AnyDVD will behave erratically if you use a cracked version. It will shutdown at random intervals. If this is causing your problem: Buy AnyDVD or stop using it.

    CloneDVD2 uses a lot of CPU power to compress the movie. A weak power supply or bad CPU cooling can cause the computer to shut down.
    If this is causing your problem: Check the airflow in your computer for dust. Check the power supply. Check lose cables.
