i notice on a lot of ebay sites and online sales places, there appears to be two types of usb cables. one has a standard usb end and on the other it is a mini usb for the phone.

there also appears to be another type of cable floating around out there that when pictured, it has standard usb for pc end and an odd type of connector that fits in the bottom of the phone where the charging jack and audio are located along with a small pin next to the charging jack. datapilot sells the usb to mini usb, as well as a bunch of other companies. motorola's website seems to go along with this when i look up data cable part number as SKN6371 ive also seen SKN6371B

now that all that rambling is out of the way...

question 1.... does the B in SKN6371B stand for USB?
question 1.... is SKN6371 the same as SKN6371B
question 2.... why are so many sites especially ebay but not limited to, pushing the other cable with the plug that ports to the "bottom" of the v220?

hoping to clear up some worries before purchasing a data cable. thanks

Don't waste your money buying the usb cable off motorola's site. Get it cheaper off ebay or pricewatch.com. Do a search for "5 pin mini usb cable".
