I'm pretty new to DVD2oneX and was wondering when ripping a dvd what
should I be selecting for "ratio" as you get the following 3 option:-

    Variable
    Constant
    Selective (low,medium or High)

which should I be using for the best quality?
whats the differance between the 3 selections?

    Thanks

    thanks for the link vantrells

Didn't really say which is better (as they're both have similar results) but it did say that CONSTANT ratio is better suited for movies over 2 1/2 + hours long

curious, what ratio do you normally use

normally i have just left it on variable. the only thing is with that is on some movies you can see the compression in certain spots. one thing that i have done lately is compressing in movie only mode. i hate previews, most special features, copyright warnings, etc... for me, movie only has made the best quality copies. basically it doesn't have as much to squish down. and the time it takes dvd2one to do it's thing has gone down from 20-30min to 7-15min. (on a g4 1ghz)
