I've downloaded an avi file, then converted it into mpeg, and burned the filed onto a CDR in VCD formate using Nero 6 ultra. But, my DVD player STILL won't play it. I think I've done everything correctly. I know I've converted the file into mpeg fine (the mpeg file can be played on my computer). I'm quite fraustrated. I did use a pretty cheap CDR (imix)thouhg, but I don't think that's the problem. Help!
Just to add, I didn't use Nero to convert the file, I used EO Video. I have followed the instructions from the "Guides" section of the website. Also, my DVD player is Panasonic, more than 2 years old.
Oh thank you very much! I checked my DVD, it supposed to play VCD's. Of course I can try those "hack" things, but that's only for DVD regions and shouldn't effect VCDs right?
Try using the guide for burning a VCD with Nero. I don't have the link, but if you go to guides you'll find it. This same problem happened to me and it turns out by clicking on a folder I messed everything up. Hope this helps.
