VCD to dvd help

    I was converting my vcd movie to dvd specs but when i author the movie with dvd lab it only authors 45 minutes of the movie. it doesnt recognize the rest of it.any ideas?

    your trying to convert a ,mpeg1 format file to mpeg2.
    Try using divx to dvd by vso and see if you can get a better result

    I'd recommend using DGIndex to demux it first and see if DVD-Lab authors correctly after that. DVD-Lab tends to work better if you start with elementary streams. I definitely wouldn't re-encode if you can avoid it since you'll always get at least a little quality loss doing it that way.
