Ugh! the actual mpgs are flawless, but when burned, they are all pixilated. They've started making pop noises, I'm not sure if it's the actual disc making the noise or just the bad soundtrack... but I'm not playing them because it's scary
Did you use good media?? what write speed did you use?? does your dvd player have any restrictions on the type of media/formats played?? and what did you use to burn the vcd??
Thanks for the reply Dela. I'm using a Mitsumi 1x-48x disc. I made the mpegs myself, they're flawless when played on my computer. I burn them to nero, and can play the vcd on my computer flawlessly too. I have, through trial and error figured out that the DVD player (which lists being able to play vcds) must be having problems playing the disc. The pixils and aritifacts appear at different spots each time. They were burned at 8x, I know 4x is the norm for a VCD, but Nero will NOT let me select 4x.
Well, it must be your stand alone then. Perhaps try alternative media!! However your dvd player just might not be excellent at playback of VCD!!
Possible... It's not even my player it's my roommates, mine's still two time zones away... so I know every little about it. It's a sony, but that's it. I sadly really don't have time nor money to play around with different types of media to see which will work.
Yeah, I just mean I don't know which will work and which wont. Price is not always the biggest factor. I mean, obviously those 10 cents discs won't cut it, but otherwise, the discs I see for sale all pretty much cost the same. Anyways, I went on the old computer with the old 4x burner, and burned it at 1x. Not a flaw at all when played back.
I'll try a few other brands in future though... maybe I'll find one that works better... but right now, at this slow speed they burn ok
The best I used were Memorex for my samsung dvd player, they started in like about 3 seconds, really quick loading!! they are expensive as far as cd-r media goes though!!
