VDC SVCD Playback on XBox with No Mod Chip - DVD Lite

Hi All

First time post here but I have used many of guides and answers that are on the site and the boards. I have searched for an answer to my question on this site and all over the net to no avail.

I have found during my travels that it is possible to playback vcd and svcd on an unmodded xbox by using a dvd-lite technique. I have found mention of this but no guides etc, it talks of using dvd system files and disk layout on a cd to enable playback of svcd and vcds.

Is there any truth in this or am i just on a fruitless search?

If so could someone post a link to a guide or a guide if you have one.

I would really appreciate it as I dont really want to buy a new dvd player as most dont playback svcd anyways and I have a perfectly good xbox i would like to use for vcd/svcd if possible.
