I own more than 100 original DVD's. Is it legal for me to make backup copies of them in the US? I have read a lot of conflicting reports lately.
America has a fair use policy where you can make one legitamite backup of a dvd that you have bought and own, however the line is blurred when you get that if you break the css encyption you can be prosecuted.I guess you need to intrepret the laws as you see fit..... There are a few threads floating on the forum concerning these issues aT THE moment
