very strange x copy platinum problem- comp locks up just looking at program in start menu!

    whenever i'm scrolling through my programs in my start menu and i get to either the 321 studios folder (for dvd x rescue) or dvdxcopy (for copy platinum), my computer locks up, processor usage goes to 99% and it sits there for about 20-40 seconds until it finally shows me the program submenu...what's with that? any ideas?

    I think coincidence ... try running a defrag.

    it's not a coincidence because it happened before i reformatted my computer as well (i just recently defragged as well).

    Do you use XCopy alot, or vary rarely?
