Hi Gurus, I have an HP pavillion (550MHz - Pentium 3 - 150 G, 784 MB RAM). I am looking for a Card to be installed to my maching so that I could transfer my old VHS cassettes. I have 2 questions about this 1. Is my old machine is sufficient enough to do this conversion. 2. What type of cards I have to look for? Thanks for any help sethu77
it will do it, but it will be slow, if you're encoding at 720x480. not that it matters capturing at that resolution. , cause vhs res is half of that. dedicated capture cards are too expensive to me. so i would get a vivo video card and use lossless codec. do try how fast your machine can encode with lossless first. if its above 30fps then you're safe.
