I can read this and it is basically telling you about your blank disc, what program you tried to use to burn it and the date. Not much else. I think the way this is supposed to work is you use the DAC-100 to convert the analog VHS to a DV .avi output, capturing with the Roxio DVD builder program this is supposed to encode your .avi into .mpeg and then author it enough to make DVD-Video compliant files that can be burned. Does this sound correct? I don't know exactly what the problem might be, just make sure the media you are using is compatable with whatever burner you might be using and that your DVD player supports that media type. Thats a good place to start. It is not really a matter of luck to get this to work, it is your ability to understand and set your program and hardware correctly, to make sure the video you are processing is not corrupted and is in the right format for each particular step. I do not use the programs or hardware you are using, but this should not be much different than turning camcorder footage into a DVD. I know this is not much help but we have to start someplace. More specific information about exactly what you are doing with the program would be helpful. Frank
At one point I had captured a 2 min clip from VHS and it transfered to DVD and played fine on the other DVD playerI used the Verbatim DVD+RW I burned a movie on there it played fine I then erased it and tried the video clip again plays in computer only. The site of the company that makes the DAC-100 is www.datavideo-tek.com if that helps any. I have the Memorex DVD+R/-R @4x and DVD+RW/-RW @2.4x and DVD-ROM @ 12x I have tried Memorex Verbatim Fuji and TDK I can copy movies fine but transfering VHS to DVD I can seem to get it to work. I don't know what wrong when I first got the burner I used my DAC-100 transfered a Two minute clip of a bike doing a burnout put it on DVD and it played in the living room now I can't get it to do it again I don't remember doing anything else different. I know the DVD's are good cause I will put a movie on them play them in living room then erase them then try to put VHS on them nothing I will then put a movie back on it and it plays fine so I don't think that it is anything with the blank DVD-/+RW
Let me know if there is any more info that you need I am wanting to transefer some of my races to DVD I like the Roxio DVD builder because I can put music with ny races which would be pretty cool. Thanks for all the info. Here is the link again for the DAC-100 http://www.datavideo-tek.com Thanks again
Hi again, I want you to be able to do this and because I'm not familiar enough with what you are trying to do I would like you to go here and post your question: http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/79 This forum is specifically for what you want to do and the folks there can do a better job than I can. My apologies. You must have music to go with your race footage!! Cheers, Frank
