vhs to pc on vista - really would appreciate help

    is link to my new pc, i urgently need to convert old vhs tapes to my hard drive so i can upload onto you tube and convert to burn to dvd's for people

    i tried one bit of software and used a video and it kept cutting off as noticed macro coding on video - most of what i have to upload is none macro but would liek to get software to grab videos and put on my hard drive

    windows movie maker 2 was great for xp but movie maker for vista doesnt see my video when connected and so need something that will see my video connected via composite lead

    are you sure that you installed all of the proper/required driver's

    think so as medion install the lot for you - kinda all comes pre installed etc and if you ever need to restore they all on partition bit of hard drive

    do you have any friends with xp that would let you rip the vhs's on their cpu

    I just got vista a week ago and can't uploading my VHS tapes to my PC either.
    Please let me know how to fix this.

    I have looked at a site that has software especially for uploading VHS to Vista. It is somewhat on the more costly side but may be of interest.
    The Software is called Pinnacle 11 and is at www.pinnaclesys.com.
